Okay, so I’ve been really excited to see the new Disney Junior show “Miles From Tomorrowland”. Something about it struck me as interesting from the get-go, so I was looking forward to watching it this past Friday.
I actually missed the premiere episode on Friday morning at 9:30 but, as luck would have it, they were showing several episodes that morning. I was able to catch one of them as I sat down to eat a bit of a late breakfast.
I have to say, “Miles From Tomorrowland” does not disappoint. With other shows like “Doc McStuffins” there tends to be a basic format to the show – Doc finds a toy that needs fixing, and she fixes it. The thing I love most about “Miles” is that every show is a new adventure!! There’s no expected format – just expect a lot of fun!
Another great aspect to the show is the lessons it teaches. In “Game On” one of the lessons is perseverance. His father reminds him in the final scene that “It’s okay to fall down, as long as you get up”. Love it!! I also love the lesson on getting to know others before making a judgement based on their “kind”.
Disney Junior shows are generally made for small children – I would say preschool through 3rd grade – but “Miles” will appeal to all ages. The STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – aspect to the show is sure to entice and entertain viewers of all ages. My 13 year old son – who is an aspiring engineer – sat and watched the show with his 9 year old sister and 7 year old brother. Honestly, “Miles” has been playing on our TV almost non-stop since last night.
I hope you’ll check out the new Disney Junior show “Miles From Tomorrowland” It’s “blast-tastic”! 🙂
