All good things must come to an end. I was so sad to learn that Phineas and Ferb’s final episode will air on June 12th. I literally cried when I saw it online. 😦
What makes me so sad about the show ending isn’t the show itself. It’s realizing that my kids are growing up. Our oldest graduates 8th Grade this year, and I remember him being the same age that our youngest was when Phineas and Ferb first introduced us to the fun of Summer.
Our kids have grown up on this show. We’d all look forward to the new episodes as they came out. We had a Phineas and Ferb Backyard Beach party once. We made t-shirts when we met them in Hollywood Studios. Our kids were even both picked for the Phineas and Ferb show they used to do while waiting in line to meet them.
We loved watching Agent P and his antics with the not-so-evil Dr. Doofensmirtz (especially in The Second Dimension when Perry pees on his couch). 😉
My favorite Phineas and Ferb of all time is Summer Belongs To You. I love the music, and often play it in the car when the weather gets warmer. (If you’re ever looking for something fun to do at a red light, play “J-Pop (Welcome To Tokyo)” from Summer Belongs To You, and do the silly hand dance thing. It’s quite entertaining for anyone waiting in their car next to you.) 😉
A 73-hour Phineas and Ferb marathon will begin on Tuesday, June 9th at 8pm on DisneyXD. The final episode, “Last Day Of Summer”, airs Friday, June 12th at 9pm on both DisneyXD and Disney Channel.
